Services

As Instructional Leaders, we are expected to develop collaborative and collegial cultures focused on student learning. Our students are expected to grow socially, emotionally, and academically under our leadership.  Consequently, we must be prepared to grow our teachers through relationship, collaborative structures, development opportunities, and feedback.  This kind of work takes time and occurs in increments of growth.  Susan’s vision is to connect, collaborate, and coach with school leaders through a process from start to finish or to coach with school leaders on a consistent and continuous basis to assist them in accomplishing their leadership goals and attaining their vision.

Process Consulting

Initial Consultation:  Susan will provide a 30 - 60-minute consultation to connect with the school leader and to listen to your journey as a leader and the areas of need.

Phase One:  Planning the Work

Susan will connect and collaborate with the school or district leader to lay a foundation for the agreed-upon work based on the needs of the leader, the school, and the students.

Phase Two:  Implementing the Work (minimum 3 months)

Susan will meet with the principal weekly or bi-weekly to plan and coach around the work of the Instructional Leader. Each session will last 60 - 150 minutes. At each session, a focus will be determined for the next session while allowing some flexibility based on the needs of the leader. After each session, Susan will send a summary email to the principal.

Phase Three:  Monitoring the Work

Susan will engage in face-to-face or virtual coaching conversations as needed as an accountability partner once systems, structures, and processes are in place and the work is moving forward.

Assessment of
Current Reality

Susan can collect academic, perceptual and process data using the AS-IS™ Model.  She will compile a report of the findings.  She will then meet with the leader to review the “current reality” and assist in establishing priorities. If needed, this can serve as the foundation for process consulting.
